1. Role Overview: The Mission of MSRC

The Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) is a global leader in security vulnerability management and incident response. As a Senior Software Engineer Azure Microsoft, you will be at the heart of the .NET and Azure ecosystem. Your work ensures that Microsoft’s internal and external platforms remain secure, stable, and highly performant.

This role is an Individual Contributor position, focusing on designing engineering solutions that automate release management and package distribution at a massive scale.

2. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the following core engineering tasks:

Infrastructure Design: Implement robust infrastructure for building and distributing .NET and React products specifically on Azure.

Automation & Tooling: Develop internal platforms to manage and track release packages with global partners.

CI/CD Management: Enhance and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines infrastructure to ensure seamless software delivery.

Azure Integration: Utilize advanced Azure services, including VM Sets, Function Apps, CDN, and Azure Container Apps, to enable scalable global distribution.

AI Integration: Leverage AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot to optimize engineering workflows and develop AI-assisted features.

Monitoring: Troubleshoot release systems to maintain maximum transparency, speed, and stability.

3. Required Qualifications & Skills

To qualify as a Senior Software Engineer Azure Microsoft, you should possess:

Engineering Excellence: Proven ability to design and build scalable automation systems.

Core Languages: Strong proficiency in C# (Preferred), Java, or other Object-Oriented languages.

Scripting: Expertise in PowerShell (Preferred), Bash, or Python.

Azure Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure Function App, Azure Service Fabric, VM Sets, NSG, and Firewalls.

CI/CD Principles: Deep understanding of ADO (Azure DevOps), containerized deployment, and artifact management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience specifically with Azure SaaS and IaaS.
